Chain Guide Damage

The chain guide is broken near the top pivot so I will have to replace it. However, I noticed some damage or witness marks on the casting, at the base of the guide. Can anybody comment on this damage. Not the best photos but this is all I have at the moment.

Hard to tell but someone may have had the chain guide out and didn't get it back in properly and the chain kept grabbing it and pounding it into that spot until it broke, or the guide broke first and the chain kept grabbing it and pounding it down there. All just a guess. I thought you had bought another engine?

I’m working a deal with a guy now but he’s half way across the country. Hoping I can land that engine. Thanks for the comments.
 
I also noticed the chain tensioner has several fractures and will need to be replaced. I don’t suppose I can buy just the plastic piece. The rest of it looks good. IMG_1129.jpeg
 
That is fairly typical on a high mile engine. The pictures you have shown makes me think it didn't get the oil changed too often. Lots of them on Ebay and places like that. Honda Part #14500-425-020
