Chain alignment

Fit a new front sprocket today as one fitted was worn on the outside edge and decided to check alignment with a little laser pointer thing I had by clamping it to the rear sprocket and aiming at the front and it appears the chain adjusters are a full mark out on the lefthand side.
No movement in swing arm so appears reason for wear on sprocket.

Don't go by the alignment marks. Use a straight edge of some sort or your laser pointer to align the rear sprocket with the front sprocket.

You did the right thing.
Those alignment marks are hardly ever accurate.
