In the process of doing a top end rebuild, I decided to replace the bottom end external seals and gaskets. I removed and replaced the oil pump gasket. Upon reinstallation of the oil pump, I heard a slight metallic click. It turns out the oil pump gear and drive gear must’ve not been perfect aligned and the drive gear snapped and ended up at the bottom of the oil pan. In my frantic search I wasn’t able to find any replacement gears anywhere in the country, let alone the world. Everything I’ve found is unavailable or out of stock. My question for all of you is does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement part? Is there a supplier I’m missing? Do any of you have a spare gear or know anyone with one that I could purchase?
