Hey guys, I'm a 19 year old college student, raced motocross my whole life, been around cars and motorcycles from a very young age, my dad owns a successful automotive shop. I am pretty handy and enjoy projects. I've always ridden my brothers street bikes but never gotten one for myself because I was too wrapped up in dirt bikes. Anyway, my dad knew I'd been wanting to try and make a cafe style bike, so when he heard his neighbor had a CB750 nighthawk he bought it for $400. Now I know the nighthawk is apparently not the ideal bike to start with, but it's what I've got. Hopefully I'll be getting it tomorrow and then I can see what I'm working with and post photos, apparently runs but needs heavy carb tuning and has charging issues. Let me know what you guys think about doing a cafe style nighthawk, and also if you have heard of any common charging issues. Very excited to get something going!
