Hello everyone. I'm a new member but not new to Honda motorcycles.
I'm trying to adjust my high speed idle on my 1978 bike. I followed the book: Pull the choke on; turn the adjustment screw until it touches the cam; open the choke and then turn the screw in two full turns. I understand that this is supposed to nudge the throttle open a bit when the choke is on.
My problem is that I can't see that it is doing anything. When I engage the choke, the pin rides over the cam, pushes back the spring and lifts the locknut up. It seems to have no affect on the throttle.
What am I missing? Thanks!
