Thanks! The full exhaust is built by Benjies Cafe Racers, really cool guy. It idles nice, but still trying to find the source of the classic "clutch rattle" sound.Nice sounding idle. Looks like a lot of work, hunting and scrounging. Stock headers or whole new exhaust?
Wheels just polished, lots of work but totally worth itWheels, painted or polished? I like the wheels with the rest of the bike.
I have a bit of that, too, but is gone 5 minutes into the ride. Let us know what you find! Thanks! The full exhaust is built by Benjies Cafe Racers, really cool guy. It idles nice, but still trying to find the source of the classic "clutch rattle" sound.
Yeah I think it comes as a built in feature when you buy a old Honda! Some people say to just live with it... but some days it drives me insane. Dissapears when I pull clutch leverI have a bit of that, too, but is gone 5 minutes into the ride. Let us know what you find!
Exactly like mine. I likely have the original springs and they aren't pressing everything together as they should. That's my guess.Yeah I think it comes as a built in feature when you buy a old Honda! Some people say to just live with it... but some days it drives me insane. Dissapears when I pull clutch lever
Sounds like we should have a race for who fixes their clutch rattle first!Exactly like mine. I likely have the original springs and they aren't pressing everything together as they should. That's my guess.
Or cheapest fix?, was planning on fixing mine with some rubber bands and bubble gumWinner is the fastest, or largest procrastinator?
You are completely right! The title was just a joke, seems like everytime someone has a problem the pods get the blame...The more I look at it, the more I almost kind of like the airbox, almost adds to the "size" of the engine.Pods are totally okay, as long as you pay up and swap the carbs.
But the spirit of the cafe racer that everyone forgets is cheapness and choppiness. Modifying what you have on hand and reusing things rather than just buying a ton of expensive parts off the shelf. So sticking with the stock airbox and stock carbs is a good move. Especially since it'll make you faster than all the fools who throw pods on without swapping carbs...
So true!l. Can't hear the clutch over the sound of it's awesomeness.sounds great ignore the clutch they all do that sir, don't think about it you won't hear it when riding anyway,.
Thanks! The tail and seat is custom made, I didn't find any other options i liked unfortunately.looks awesome. can i ask about your tail unit? where did that come from?
