Hello All. First time here. I just brought home a 1976 cb750k, not running, project bike. During the engine tear down process I removed the damaged point cover and removed the point mounting plate only to find one of the three mounting posts broken. Can this be repaired or do I need to find A new lower case? I'm thinking an epoxy type of repair since I don't think there is much load on this area, all it does is hold the point mounting plate. Am I wrong about that? I know about JB weld and I've recently heard about a product called Belzona 1111. Just looking for some first hand experiences with either one of these products and this type of repair. I would've posted pictures but I'm not too hip on the process.

If you go the route of replacing the cases you have to replace the lower cases as a set as they are a match set and cant be swapped with just one half. You could probably get by with doing a good epoxy job as there is no load on the part, other option would be to have it taken to a good welding shop and have it tig welded by on but make sure they dont over heat the cases or you could warp them.
