Carb slide covers

Hey fellow rebuilders! Am in process of rebuilding the carbs on my barn find ‘74 750. picked it up at a farm auction for a winter project. Was last tagged in 1985 so it’s been sitting a while. Surprisingly the tank looks really good after I rinsed with avgas and then lacquer thinner. Carb slides were stuck, but engine is free and cylinders look good inside. I have carb kits ready to be installed but need to replace the rubber covers on top of the carbs. I haven’t found any replacement s and wondered if anyone knows if and where they are available?

eBay has them cheap. Vintage and 4 into 1 have better versions.

Ok thanks, I searched vintage from top to bottom several times and never found them. 4 into 1 had them, I guess they are technically called “dust covers”. Finally got the slides free by soaking them in lacquer thinner so we are on the way to hearing it run after 4 decades.

They stick pretty easily, but probably means they are in need of thorough cleaning. The fuel valves opened by the floats are problematic if the carbs have been sitting up a while, same with small jet passages. But maybe it’ll be enough to see if it fires up. Good luck with it!
