Sorry all. Addendum to my previous post. The carbs start flowing before I crank the engine. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Yeah, that makes more sense as your bike doesn't have vacuum operated petcocks. Anyway, as unlikely as it may sound; my guess is that the float valves are indeed gummed-up and stuck open. Perhaps it's been sitting more than 3 months. I think you'll have to, at least, pull a float bowl and have a look. The ultimate fix is to remove the carb set and clean all the internals - especially float valves, pilot jets and idle circuit.
