Carb boot struggle

I have been drooling over those for a long time... can you describe the benefits on your 750?
Runs much cleaner - crisper than stock and much easier to tune. That said your engine needs to be solid, exhaust in good shape, ignition strong, valves adjusted to spec. But then all that should already be sorted out.
Much better all around running bike. The stock cv carbs suck and are a pain in the ass to tune.

All that sound like heaven...but what about the most important part? Is there any more POWER?! :D

I've got brand new carb boots and can't get #2 and #3 to seat properly. The old ones were a pain too, but this is ridiculous. I checked that all the carbs are even, and the boots look even when the carbs aren't on, but I can't get them to seat when #1 and #4 are all the way in. I've currently got a ratchet strap on them and that alleviated some frustration but even clamped tight they won't seat. Any tips for this process?
Put a flat metal ruler across the boot openings, they should all be in a flat line. put same ruler across the exhaust opening of the carbs all of them should be in a flat line. a little silicon grease will also help.
