That's fine. The cams are much more affected by the springs than the cam chain tension. You cannot set the tensioners anyway until the head is bolted down solid.

Uh, wrong head gasket there, 70 mm. bore is for an 1100. The 750 uses one at 62 mm. Gonna lose a big chunk of compression.
 
Be aware that the 900 is 64.5 mm. bore and often that one gets used and specifically for 750s that have been bored to 65 mm. The actual hole size ends up being just a little bit bigger than the bore size to allow the metal inside fire ring to pinch good to seal. You don't want any of the gasket protruding into the bore hole at all of course.
 
You're right on the money amc49. I contacted the vendor and they accepted their mistake and I'm in the process of a return. Going to Jamaica tomorrow for 10 year anniversary. See you guys later.
