Hello all,
Searched through threads and didn't find anything so I'm reaching out to see if anyone knows of a mechanic in Southern California area that works on DOHC bikes. Everyone I have found who knows vintage bikes only does SOHC's.

Thanks in advance!
Anna

What year are we talking about?..If you are just getting it tuned...any good mechanic thats worked on in line fours should be able to do it...
Shimmed valves and carbs are pretty universal across Kawasakis/Hondas/Suzukis.....
I'd take in the FSM (factory manual) so they can glance the specs in hardcopy....you can download it free...

If you are going to get the carbs rebuilt/motor rebuilt...thats another matter...specialist needed

‘82 Honda CB. Need to get aftermarket Keihin carbs tuned/jetted….not an area of my expertise.

I missed the year in the header.(1979-1983)...sorry....my oversight.
If they Keihin CR carbs they are a "performance carb"...I'd be looking for someone that does race prep.....

Locals might be able to be more help......good luck

Have you contacted any of the LA businesses....
Google shows me theres a few that class themselves as performance/race . ...
Again being offshore dunno if they are good /bad but a ask around will let you know.....

I’ve contacted quite a few places. Most have said they don’t work on bikes that old and then the vintage guys have said they only work on older bikes.
I stumbled across a local guy though that flat track races and works on a large model year range who said he could do it. No dyno, but he’s the first one who was confident he could do it. So we will see.

Dont b put off by "no dyno"....theres many a guru that doesnt have one....

The other alternative is to take carbs off bike...have them modded and bench balanced by a carb service.. then refitted locally....

Hope it works out whichever way u go
