appreciate your comments and tips kind regards

no not all the bearings are green. The bearings are select fit. It is not like an automotive engine that you can grind the crank and get undersize bearings...that dosnt apply here. Honda have 4 different color coded bearings to get you to the correct clearance. The correct clearance is very tight and they run the smoothest when the clearances are set on the tighter side of the honda spec. The honda manual explains very well how to determine the bearing color. The case and the crank both have a letter code that you use with the chart in the book to select the main bearing color. There is a number on the crank and on the connecting rods that you use to determine the connecting rod bearing color. There is also the actual measurement spec of the journels of the crankshaft so you can measure them with a micrometer to determine wear. If the crankshaft has wear then the chart is just a starting point and you may have to measure or plastigage the bearing clearance they get different bearings if you need to adjust clearance. Some of the three bond are the same as the hondabond but not sure what number. I just use hondabond so i know it works. Whatever you do never use anything RTV as it will flake off inside and plug oil passages in the head.
