Brake lights

So, I have no brake lights on my 1981 Honda 750 custom. When I turn to on both bulbs in the back light up on both filaments. I assume they should not.any help here??

Sounds like your brake lights are coming on but not going off. Check the rear brake light switch adjustment.

Does the running light stay off while the bike is on, and then only come on when the brake light is on, or both filaments come on when the bike is on? Either you have a short between the two incoming power wires, or one of your brake switches is stuck.
The rear switch should have a connector about 12" from the switch; unplug it and see if the problem goes away.
The front brake master cylinder has a reed switch mounted to the underside by one tiny phillips screw. It has two quick-disconnect terminals on it. You can unplug one to see if the problem goes away.
In both cases, the switches are still readily available and easy to replace.
