I have a 1977 CB750 supersport that I laid down a few months ago, in the accident the ignition side crank shaft was bent which is causing the points to not to fire so the motorcycle won't start. Is there any way to fix the shaft or will a shop be able to fix the shaft or is replacing the shaft or even the motor a better option. I've only had the bike for a year and am still learning about the mechanics, so any advice is appreciated! Thanks

The point shaft is removable and not part of the crankshaft. It is threaded into the crankshaft. You will have to look for a used one on ebay or elsewhere as honda no longer makes them. If it isn't to badly bent you can bend it back into shape but use a dial indicator and get it to .001" runout or less.
