Instructions say to keep up with the # of turns to the full seat of sync screws and replicate each one when reassembling carbs. One of mine was over a full turn different than the rest. Why would you do this rather than initially setting them all back to factory setting after cleaning and rebuild with new parts and the adjust during vacuum synchronization? Seems like new parts and old setting is counter intuitive but I may be thinking of this incorrectly. I would welcome thoughts on this issue as I am just learning the rebuild process. Thanks! -JS

Just get them close is all you need to start the bike and then do the proper adjustment once the engine is warmed up and the gauges are hooked up. What brand of parts are you using for the rebuild?
