'80 CB750F front fork paint

Hello, I am new to this forum. Currently restoring a 1980 CB750F and wondered if anyone could advise as to the paint type used for the lower front forks - appears to be a matt black? Thanks

I found a powder coat that looked good on my 79’ F model

Oil-based enamel paint is what you'd use to repaint them. If you want it to stick really well you could strip the old paint off, and sand them rough or sandblast them. Just gotta make sure no abrasive grit is inside the tube.
