'78K carb mystery spring

Does anyone recognize this spring? I'm in the final stages of rebuilding the carbs. I was setting the slides and when I turned over the carbs to start working on the float height settings this spring mysteriously appeared on the bench underneath the carbs.
I've looked through all the pics I took of the carbs when I disassembled them as well as parts breakdowns online and I'm at a loss as to where this spring fits on the carbs...

Found the spot where it goes. A member of the CB750.com facebook group found a pic of the parts diagram

Installed it in the missing spot, all good now
