Showing of my 78 750F with 16k miles..
Got it in trade a few months ago..
Have been working on bike in my spare time to get it running..
Straighten out electrical issues, new points adjusted dwell to 23.5 degrees. brakes Rebuilt
Carbs rebuilt and synced
Just repainted tank tail and side covers..
Using dodge colors very similar to Honda
Adding my own twist to it.
Velvet red pearl and mango orange.
Over silver to create my own candy version
Then layed down some fine red metal flake
Before applying clear..
Had a hard time laying down the gold stripe..
Not perfect but I’m happy with it….
Clutch is a little noisy but goes away soon as pulling clutch in. Can’t remember if it’s normal..
I haven’t owned a Honda since I was a teenager back in the late 70’s
Here is YouTube video of bike running.

Looks really good.
I too have just finished building a 1977 F2 and I'm happy with it except for the obligutary clutch rattle.
I'll run it for a couple of hundred miles and then rebalance the carbs, see if that helps.
It even has the original exhaust in really good condition.

So Im new to the group and just bought a 750 f also. I posted somewhere a couple times and can't reme.ber where. And since I can't start my own thread yet, weird, I have to hack others. Sorry!
Having issues with it. I didn't want Another project but here I am. It was supposed to be a pay and ride deal but 1st ride didn't go far. After lots of youtube I believe my carbs have an issue or perhaps and or I have a coil firing intermittently. Im waiting for a manual. What is the deal with clutch rattle on these? Is it a problem with certain years? What is the cure? Is it a bearing, sleeve? Mine supposedly has 12,000 miles. That doesn't seem like a lot of miles to have an issue especially since the Japanese bikes are known for good products.

most people mistake a clutch noise for the primary chain rattle. Uneven running engine amplifies the noise. The factory chains stretch fast. Now the age of the rubber tensioner wheels also factor in as the rubber is hard brittle and breaks apart.

If I pull in on the clutch the noise gets considerably better. Could this still be a primary chain?

Yes, It is normal for the 750 to have that noise. If you do a really good engine in good condition, do a really good tuneup and a spot on running carb sync, the sound will be considerably less. personally I like the mechanical noise of the 750, no other engine sounds like it or looks as good as it does.
