750 hornet chain wear

Hi, my chain and sprockets have only lasted 14000km. Was wondering is this a common issue with today's new bikes. Ie bad recycled metal they use.
I've had several VFR with over 100bhp that have lasted well over 20000km. Would be interested to here from other owners.

At 8600 miles and 3 years from new, my Honda dealer has recommended new chain and sprockets. Ridiculous! Not had time to check it all out yet, but it's a very low mileage for replacement, particularly as I'm a smooth and not fast rider. Not happy!

It usually comes down to how well they have been maintained

What's the elongation service limit over the specified number of links for the chain on your bike? Measure the chain yourself for your own confirmation.
