So, I have had a consistent problem with my nighthawk that got much worse recently and turned out to be burnt intake valves on the inner two cylinders. The previous owner had straight piped the bike by gutting the factory mufflers and presumably didn't bother changing out the carb jets to compensate. So, I have a used cylinder head on the way which should hopefully resolve the immediate issue, but I still need to resolve the lean running issue that caused it.
I was hoping someone on here might know what size the jets would need to be to run like this and/or where I could potentially source them. Pulling the carbs on this bike isn't the worst thing in the world, but it's enough of a pain that the idea of buying a bunch of jets and drill bits and spark plugs and trial and erroring my way to the correct size doesn't sound terribly appealing to me. I've considered swapping out the exhaust for a factory one, but what I'm able to find on ebay is somewhat expensive and in rather poor condition.
