Hi, fellow riders and enthusiasts!

I have a 750 that I love that I’ve got modified into a cafe racer. I just picked up the aforementioned CB900C in the hopes of swapping the engine out into my 750. Think Freddie Spencer’s infamous 750.

They’re nearly identical to each other until you get to the shaft drive of the 900 vs. the chain of the 750.

I’ve already stripped the 900 down and will be setting aside a day soon to perform the swap.

Has anyone here done this same process before? Any advice on the conversion process or lessons learned from yours that you can share?

It turns out that without hemorrhaging money that this cannot be done. No shaft to chain conversions. The top end is the same and I could bore it out but that would also be costly. I will likely restore the CB900C and sell it.
