1980 Honda 750 custom

I’ve been riding sixty years time to downsize from 2016 Indian Springfield to a smaller bike,
So I purchased a 1980 Honda 750 Custom. It been sitting for 2 years and leaks gas with a no start condition I believe carburetor cleaning will be needed. Also tires will need replacing, everything else looks to be in good shape. Hope I can get it back to being road worthy.
I don’t put on many miles in a season maybe 300 miles, long trips are not likely mostly Scenic Roads here in SE Wisconsin.

Q: Any perticular tire brand recommended?

And for carburetor cleaning is there a popular method to start with and progress to for deeper investigation?

Nice looking bike. Have you worked on carburetors like these before? The reason I ask is a lot of guys tear into these carbs without a clear understanding of how they work and they struggle with them and are on these types of forums continually asking questions on how to get themselves out of the mess they have created. If you know what you are doing go for it. If not, find someone that can do it for you. As for tires there are quite a few choices. I have Dunlop's on the bike I am riding now. Bridgestone Battlax are another choice.

I have no experience with 4 carburetors configuration, so your advice carries weight!

Carb cleaning - first get it started and run some carb cleaner through it. SEAFOAM or other cleaners. I put 2 stroke oil in my tank to help keep the gas fresh. Removing the carbs on these inline 4’s is very frustrating. Do try the clean by running method first.
