My Leaf Spring Bobber

Here is my Cb750 which I made a leaf spring rear suspension. I have about 10,000 miles on it since the build. I get about 3 1/2" travel with no problems. The way yours is mounted will result in failure. the spring must be mounted on a slide or a shackle. I also am a welder of 25 years and work in a welding supply store. Spring steel can not be welded to. I hope to post some other pictures of the mount of the spring on my bike. if you have any questions just ask. Craig

I like your "safe" simple design. Personally I prefer function over appearance but at least I understand the look your after seeing your photos.

Did you have to reinforce the swing arm to prevent twisting?

PS My bike came with those side pipes and I'm too cheap to buy a new 4 into 1.

No twisting of the swing arm. I built those silencers. I domed some tubing down and used the baffles out of a cherry bomb muffler.
