1978 cb750 K vs F carbs?

So I bought 2 cb750s a couple weeks ago - one K and one F models

Just realized the F model is missing the float bowls and air box!

Are K and F carbs the same for 1978? If not are the float bowls at least? Any other years for the 1978? (Possibly the 1977?)

Anyone have float bowls for sale? Air box? Is the air box different between the models?
 
Although externally I think they are the same , there are internal differences . The carbs will be stamped on the sides so you can tell which sets you have . Even though it may be a 78 , it could have 77 bits . And I do know the supersports are stamped F model on the air box so maybe there is a difference there , but again why , I do not know as the only difference should be roundtop carbs to keyhole carbs . Pity you didnt buy them way sooner , I could have saved myself 800 aussie dollaroos buying some k8 headlight brackets only to find they dont fit the f2 . You can clearly see that in your pic

I've got two sets of carbs here which both came (admittedly in large boxes) with UK model CB750F1 bikes.
Both sets have 064A stamped on the carb bodies, which isn't included in that table
 
Looking at the photos it appears that they both have the same carbs, best bet for spares is to buy a set of used carbs as a source of spares and build a good set from the two I would say they were both '78 bikes a K8 and an F2. For my current project I can clearly see that the K8 headlight bowl is deeper than the F2 so more space in there for the wiring. The float bowls are the four screws type not the ones with the securing clip that swings underneath.

I have 3 different pics of carb numbers and they are all the same , I wonder if someone made a booboo and put 069A instead of 064A . I only used it for the F2-3 carbs when I was trying to sort out my mess , so I didnt really go into any other model

I've come to the conclusion that after nearly fifty years, most of the technical information about these bikes has become so corrupted and confused as to be more of a hindrance than a help.
If you find a decent set of carbs it's probably better just to try them out on the bike to see what happens.
An experienced rider will know the symptoms of a weak mixture or the opposite.
