Last year I bought a 1975 CB750 F1. At least if it comes to the Titel. The thing that is bothering me is the rear drum break. No matter where I search I cant find other examples of an other bike with that configuration.
Was the break fittes as aftermarket or is it Not an F1 Model?
The Tank, Seat and sidecovers All point to the F1.

Thanks to all of you in advance

As far as I know, all the F series bikes have a rear disc brake, although the caliper changes for the F2/3.
Sounds like someone has converted it to a drum brake using K series parts.
Pretty easy to do with a little engineering knowledge.
TBH, if it works well, I'd leave it as it is.
Some photos would help clarify the issue.
I've honestly considered doing this to one of my own F series bikes.

Heres an Image, im also quite sure the paintjob isnt original, as there is still some yellow on the Tanks Inside.

Looks like a CB750F1, 1975, as stated.
With the wrong rear wheel and brake fitted.
It's going to cost a fair bit to buy the correct parts if you pay dealers prices (if you can find them at all)
Personally, I'd want to find out if the engine was good before I'd start throwing money at it.

Looks like it has been put together using a few different bikes . K series rear brake , indicators , tail light maybe . Black painted motor which is an F2/3 thing . Check engine and frame numbers and see what comes up

post the frame vin number and the engine vin number. There is a lot of stuff not right. The carbs are also earlier and not F as well as the rear brake.

Here are the Framenumber and Engine number.

But as the Casting is cracked i have already bought a replacement. Im just not going to start looking for someone able to weld it, ignorant the cost. Same for the Carburator, as there were Bits broken off.

Thats i think also the reason Why its painted black, to hide a really Bad epoxy Design repair.

Indicators and the front headlamp subframe are as fitted to the UK market F1, as is the super rare (and super ugly) steel rear mudguard extension to comply with UK regs.
Most owners just unbolted them and slung them out with the trash.
The round tail lamp and the hideous license plate mount I ain't never seen before, but given the location (Baveria) it could be unique to the German market model

If it's any consolation, that seat with the intact trim strips and the fake chrome beading around the tail section is quite a rare thing in itself.
The trim strips usually get butchered or chucked away when the seat gets a new cover.
Also that electrical junction box on the front of the frame usually doesn't survive long

So it is an F1 from the UK, am I getting that Right? With some things done to it in Germany over the last 50 years.

Might just be a German market model, although maybe those had some really weird looking indicators fitted.
What you really need to do is get yourself a Parts Catalogue.
In the UK these generally come up on ebay for about £20 - £30, although there are plenty of sellers asking much more, if you're daft enough to pay.
I'm thinking that maybe the VJMC could tell you which market it was originally built for

Okay, thanks. But the one in it is going to sit in Storage until I feel like welding it properly.
Is there a difference in the F Motor?

Well, he is Erwin. He was the pet boar of a friend of mine. She had to put him down when he turned agressive. Now hes in my Workshop cause she has no space for him currently.

Unfortunately, you're probably too far away (I'm in Northern CA) or I would sell you my bike, I spent @ $1000 in parts resurrecting "Roach Cafe' ", to a running, halfway decent bike. I redid the brakes with new rear rebuild kit for the master, replaced both front and rear calipers (eBay @ $200). Life got in the way, and I still have to rewire it with Fourinto1 wiring harness (first test ride rode ran great, then after sitting it developed and internal short to the main red wire, untraceable to this date. The previous owner muddled up the wiring where there was a major short/fire in the fuse box, so that will be replaced too.
I wish you luck.
