Hi all.

I went for a ride yesterday and noticed that my tachomenter needle doesn't go beyond 4000rpm. It works fine below that. The issue seems to start between 3k and 4k RPMs, the needles starts shaking a little bit within that range and can't pass the 4 thousand no matter what. The cable was broken and I replaced it a few weeks ago and it was working fine. I checked both ends and everything seems to be properly attached. Any ideas?

Thanks

Physical obstruction within the tachometer mechanism ?
Maybe one of the small screws inside has worked loose and jammed itself in there.
Try removing the tachometer and gently shaking it.
Just might loosen whatever is obstructing the mechanism.
