1969 Honda CB · Driven 60,000 miles

We inherited this bike. It’s a 1969 Honda 750 sandcast. None of us are “bike people”. I know it’s a special bike and would like to find a buyer that’s going to keep the bike and ride it.

It has 60k miles. Original owner was a family member thst bought it brand new in 1969. I was told some history. The case cracked and was repaired under warranty. The bike ran 20 years ago and has been sitting. We have most the parts and emblems, tool bag etc.

I’d like to get some ideas from actual motorcycle people.

I posted this on FB but I can’t really use Facebook and I hate it. Hopefully this is a better place.

Thank you for posting! I am surprised no one has replied. The "sandcast" Honda 750 basically refers to the first 7,414 units Honda produced. These first units had engine cases that were "sandcast" versus the later "diecast" cases. Once the engine cases were cracked, they were replaced by Honda under warranty with "unstamped" diecast cases. Thus, the bike is less desirable now than it would be if it still had the sandcast cases. Those "sandcast cases" are the big draw to the bike! Based on your photos, the bike still has some early parts, but is also missing some. You did not mention your location which is usually important. I recently purchased a "KO" model with replacement cases, with the four exhaust pipes, seats, correct fenders, seat and hubs, etc. for $2,400. I have a line on another that is complete but not a sandcast but an early KO for $2,500. I am think you are in the $1,800 to $2,000 range with this bike but that is just my personal opinion.
