What is a good way to determine if a points condenser is good / bad ?

In addition to that, I would think that a bad or weak one could potentially shorten the life of the points. I'm going to put in a new set of points I bought from David Silver Spares, and at $21 apiece, I don't want to be wear these out early. What say you ?

    Electronic ignition recommendation ?

With the issues with crappy points / condensers I should probably just go ahead and convert over to electronic ignition. Are there any recommendations for a reliable manufacturer / model for a reliable, set and forget system that can deal with the heat generated from the engine in that area ...

Adding a compass to the bike ?

I've got a 1977 CB750F2 and would like to add a compass to it. I like trying unknown country roads, and knowing my direction makes it a lot easier to navigate. I've seen all the smaller compasses that you can find online or at the automobile stores and thought I might be able just to use a...

Will E15 ethanol gas damage the older bikes ?

Looks like the current administration is authorizing the change to E15 / 15% ethanol blend gas. I've heard rumor that this is damaging to older engines, as well as lawnmowers, weed eaters, older cars that don't run on Flex-Fuel. Trying to determine if I should just garage my bike (1977...

Removal of front wheel while on the center stand ?

1977 CB750 F2 . The issue is, with the bike on the center stand, it leans forward balancing on the center stand and front wheel. I don't have a bike jack that will support the weight of this bike and also see where the 4 into one pipe is a bit lower than the frame tubes, so crushing that by...

New Bike - 1977 750-Four Super Sport F2 - Headlight and blinker indicators and high beam / low beam lights not displaying on instrument panel

I've recently inherited my brothers 1977 750-Four Super Sport F2. Excellent condition. A few issues though, originally I found the blinkers wouldn't work, just would stay on when selected. That was a simple fix, replaced the blinker relay with a #552 from O'Riley Auto Parts and that's...
