    I just got this bike last fall went through the carbs completely went through the valve adjustment got it running perfectly and I hate to mess up. The manual goes over timing chain replacement and is vague on tensioner. Could you please be more clear on if I just back out the bolt and lockout...

    I have an 81 and was having very similar problems did the bell of clarences and still have the problem found one carburetor not incarborator not flowing correctly

    Ok sorry for the odd numbers, if I have a clearance of. 002 and the existing shim is 308 and it looks like shims now only come in. 005 increment ,, 300,305,310 then the 305 would be the correct choice, am I correct?

    number 2 stayed cold at startup until high rpm but my readings are intake 5 and 4 exhaust 5 and 3, does that make sense?
