    If you plan on keeping the bike for a while you may want to look for a complete spare rack that way you have lots of extra little parts that are hard to find mostly the hard parts. You might be able to fix the one you broke a photo would help to see if that might work.

    I don't think the wires would cause this. I would tap around on the bucket and listen for any movement and start taking it back apart and see what is loose it is most likely is metal on metal (where the bucket makes contact with the fork ears) that might need a fiber washer to fix it.     WOW I'm sure that is a ride you will not forget. For brakes it is a good idea to use a torque wrench and locktite. Red for brakes.

    All the electrics on these bikes come with smoke from the Honda plant once you let it out you can not put it back in so you did the right thing buying new ones.     Go to the auto parts store and get a can of spray Seafoam with the extra long red tube about 14 inches long makes it easy to get into # 2&3 hole. Hold the spray button down about 2 seconds.
