hi, please can someone tell me the correct way the blue yellow black and white are on the coils cb750FB 1981uk model coil 1-4 blue to the + pos terminal black/white to the - neg terminal theses are looped together to each coil coil 2-3 yellow to the + pos terminal...

update thanks Never2old nearly completed now, I started it last week all seem ok, I have not rode it yet as the front brakes need more bleeding and front mud guard need putting on. attached pic of it so far.

update took the casings to a local chroming company, who have removed all the chrome from them, they just need a good polishing now :D

pic of oil filter parts here are some pics of the oil filter parts, the disc look like a genuine Honda part ? all i can think it is for is to hold the filter in place, any thoughts as service manual dose not show it. cheers n

I was just replacing the oil filter on my cb750FB 1981, and looking at service manual to make sure I was put the spring and washer in the correct order, when i noticed that i have a disc that covers the end of the oil filter and sits in the filter housing??. I have looked in the service manual...

according to the Honda service Manuel you can lap in the valves no problem, it just says you cant grid them ?? there only a light lapping in anyway as the engine only done 28,000 miles, and they don't look to bad. chrome on alloy ?? mine as you can see from the pic's, most of it has come off...

update started to work on cylinder head yesterday, cleaning and de-coking the valves, only found one issuse with an exhaust valve, see picture looks like i caught it just in time, as there is no damage to the valve seat in the head etc.

update pic of valve springs, just soda blast, quick blast with wd40 wipe over good as new, no rust :thumbsup:

update started on the engine this weekend, engine back from been soda blasted. I have given it a good steam cleaning and de-greasing, base coat of vht cast aluminium to protect the alloy, proper paint when engine sorted. started stripping the cylinder head, I will lap in the valves and replace...

update, forks wheel and disc's installed, rear mudguards and shocks installed.

update started to put some gear on the frame, wiring harness, new headbearings and yolks on, battery box in place. also started to fabricate a bench engine stand, its not finished yet need some side feet fabricating to tie it all together and to stop it falling forward.

yep but its a job for a longway down the line
