No. My guess is if I ever need them I'll have to scavenge them from eBay or swap meet carbs. Somebody with some mad 3D printing or CMC skills could probably make them but I don't think there would be much of a market for a return on their time & efforts.
Deep cleaning a set of very dirty PD41A carbs for a '77 CB750 K7 project and found parts not shown in the factory parts fiche anywhere. Throttle shaft opening in the carb body has a sleeve / bushing that fell out after an ultrasonic bath. Carb was so dirty I didn't notice the sleeve or the...
Hi,
Anybody know a source for the rubber bushings inside the headlight / fork ears? Rehabbing a barn find K1/K2. It came to me as a '71 frame & motor with a '72 front end. It sat for quite some time before I got it and most all the rubber bits on it need replacing. There are used bushings...
Pics attached. They're a little cloudy...didn't realize how much the lens fogged up from outside humidity. The disk is held in place by several tabs cast into the carb body in the opening for the air vent passage. I opened up #4 carb and that's the same - single disk, #2 & #3 have disks in...
Rebuilding a set of Keihin 7A carbs and noticed #1 carb - i.e. carb with choke lever - is missing one of those little brass vent disks. Not sure if I did it when blowing out passages with my air compressor or if it was missing all along. It's not the disk in the passage that goes to the air...
The motor had an 812cc kit dropped into it some years ago by a prior owner. He had some concerns about the place that did the work for him...the shop has since gone out of business. He ran it once or twice and parked it due to concerns about some post-mod engine noise and unrelated electrical...
Is there any company out there that is making new cylinder jugs in the stock 750cc bore? I thought I found a website where new jugs were being sold as part of a rebuild kit - pistons, etc - in the stock size - but can't seem to find the site again.
No plans to drag race or make a bike show winner at all, just trying to build a solid, good looking, regular rider. Why new rings? Is this a failsafe kind of thing? The cylinder walls don't look scored at all so it looks like the current rings were proper for the 812 upgrade kit. Other than...
Howdy All,
Looking for some help determining who made the 812cc pistons in the attached pictures. I recently acquired a project '71 CB750K1 that's been sitting in a garage for at least a decade. The previous owner took it on as an unfinished project from another dude but for various reasons...
