    1980 cb750 dead!

That's what I thought. Did it have to be ordered? If so, I can get an aftermarket relay that takes modern fuses for $10

    1980 cb750 dead!

Here is the remains of the fuse. Problem is that it doesn't seem readily available at autozone. Ideas on where to find these?

    1980 cb750 dead!

I have a strange occurrence here. I recently had some electrical work done at a local shop to repair a short in the headlamp wiring. He did a good job and got it done for a reasonable price. a few days later someone notified me that my running lights weren't on at night. So when I got home to...

    1981 cb750f headlight doesn't turn on

That's exactly what I'm thinking! I don't have the patience or know how to trace wires and check all possibilities. Thanks again for your help!

    1981 cb750f headlight doesn't turn on

I'm not exactly sure what I did, but now all the sudden none of the signals work. I can't imagine that I did anything to affect all that. I had to stop the convo for a while because I needed to get out and ride while we had 66 degrees on Feb 8th! I think I'm gonna take it to a buddy of mine to...

    1981 cb750f headlight doesn't turn on

I actually had everything open and testing when you responded. Nothing works when touching the blue wire to any of the black wires.

    1981 cb750f headlight doesn't turn on

I do have a voltage tester. It does appear that power is not getting to the headlight connector.

    1981 cb750f headlight doesn't turn on

Right, so I located them, but how does one determine the breakdown? Is it at the hi/lo switch? Is it at a connector? I've traced the wires and opened up the boxes and there's nothing obvious to the untrained eye.

    1981 cb750f headlight doesn't turn on

Ok i do see that now. I guess I'm not seeing the connection with the headlight. Aren't the headlight wires going to the dimmer switch? I thought ib read on another post that another guys headlight went out because of a bad starter button. One guy said he had a bad hi/lo switch. Not sure how to...

    1981 cb750f headlight doesn't turn on

Thanks for the diagram. It's easier to read than the other ones I had found. It seems that the lines in question are the blue and white that go to the dimmer switch. Is the dimmer swith the start button? This is where I'm lost.

    1981 cb750f headlight doesn't turn on

Doesn't look like fuses are the issue even tho there is a fuse for the headlight.

Duh, i totally forgot! I'll give those a check here soon

    1981 cb750f headlight doesn't turn on

Well, I did try that. It didn't seem to be getting any power. However, I'm not even sure I tested it properly. Electrical is not my thing i dont see any fuses around to check or replace. If you've got ideas let me know. Thanks!

    1981 cb750f headlight doesn't turn on

My front headlight won't turn on. I just bought a new one hoping the old was bad, but no luck. All connections seem to be tight and proper. All turn signals work as they should. I cant figure this one out. I'm no electrical expert by any means. Is there a diagram for the electrical? Any help...

    Throttle Sticking

Hello everyone, I have a problem that I've read a little bit about but haven't found a solution for my issue. So, here it is. I just changed out my stock handlebars from a 1980 CB750F to a set of clubman bars. Obviously there is some slack in the cables and things like that. THere is a ben in...

    Popping and occasional backfire

I know this has been talked about already but I didn't find anything that answered my question, so here it is. I have an '81 cb750K. It runs pretty good with 19k+. I've only had the bike for a few months now and have put 1100 miles on it. I've noticed that the popping in one specific muffler...

I thought decreasing the number of sprockets helped boost power and rpm... is it backwards?

    sprocket thoughts

Thanks hippie, I don't mind losing a little power to bring the RPM's on the hwy down. I don't want to lose a lot of power tho. What are we talking about here?

    1981 Honda cb750K manual

I'm new to the cb750 family. Could someone point me to the manual for the cb750k? Also, another question. Does anyone know the difference between the cb750c and the cb750k? Looking for cafe bars and grips and I found a kit that says it will fit the 750c but not the 750k. Any ideas about that...

    sprocket thoughts

Hi everyone, I'm new to cb750's and this forum. I just got a 1981 cb750k. Seems to run pretty good. I took it on the hwy the first day only to realize it runs about 5500 rpm's at 65 mph in 5th gear. What are your thoughts about changing the rear sprocket to reducenter rpm's? Thanks. I look...
