I’ve thought about building the wheels myself. I don’t have the necessary equipment to true them myself. But I’ve seen that it’s not too expensive to have it done at a shop.
I WISH I could just get lucky and find an eBay listing for a set of them. Back in March or this year, I saw a listing...
I want to put spoked wheels on my 1979 CB750L what are my best options? I’ve seen new custom sets online that are super expensive. It’s really hard to find a set of used wheels with the hubs and everything else I need. Can’t find them anywhere. What should I do?
Does anyone know of any replacement aftermarket gas tanks that fit these bikes?
Maybe in a different style?
I’d like it to be large capacity like the OEM 5.3 gallon tanks that come with the bike.
Ok sweet.
And yeah, I repaired the part. I’ll send you some more detailed pictures of the carbs and a video of the bike running with them. Shoot me an email at elijahmugrage@gmail.com and we can figure out the details.
No offense taken! I totally understand.
And yes, I’m Midwest. Though I did live in West Virginia for a while and know Ohio. It’s beautiful country out there!
Anyway…
I’m just barely getting into Motorcycles myself, I grew up around my dad who had and worked on several. I decided this year was...
1979 and 1980 should match up nicely.
I went through and fixed what I could find that was broken. Float heights were set. As well as jets cleaned and reset to where they were before I took everything apart. I bought new jets and needles expecting to have to replace them, but the oem ones just...
I rebuilt and bench synced these carburetors myself. I had them on my bike and running. I went through them and repaired/cleaned everything they needed.
$$$?
Open to any offers.
I’m not so sure those aren’t stock shocks. Because I’d bet have the same exact ones on my bike. When googling old promo images of the 750L, I’ve seen that they had different shocks in different images. As well as different front brake master cylinders.
I've been all over the internet looking for rear shocks for my scrambler build. I haven't been able to find anything.
Is there anyway I could adjust the frame of my bike to accept a wider variety of shocks? I see that the OEM shock setup is one eyelet and a fork that attaches to the frame. Most...
I haven’t been able to find an in depth video for these carbs on YouTube. But I do have the amazing guide written by Sean Grier. Read that a couple times. I’ll probably ramble my way through making my own video and post it.
And I didn’t know that keeping them on the rail was an option! I’m...
My bike came with a spare. I haven’t tested them, but they look pretty clean and I’m pretty sure everything is there.
$550 OBO
Shipping: $30.00?
I’m new to selling parts, I’m just comparing prices to eBay. So don’t be scared to offer me what you think they’re worth.
I think that's really wise advice. My first step is absolutely going to be getting the bike running and riding it around for a bit.
I've been studying my brain to mush in preparation for rebuilding the carburetors, which is what I'm pretty sure is the only thing that keeps the bike from running...
