    We have the engine upside down currently, all of the gears are in the top half of the case. Think this is part of the reason we are having such a pain getting the shift forks in place because we are struggling to shift like the manual says to do

    I just realized, it seems we may have 'dropped' the gears. The entire gear assembly, transmission, everything stayed in the top half of the case when we lifted it up. How badly did we screw up and what is the fix for this?

    Just casting, here's a picture of the piece back in place. The engine and bike were pretty well maintained until the owner before me, I'll begin the decreasing process while looking for a welder.

    Hey all, doing a rebuild on the engine for my 1981 CB750. Finally split the case and found a small piece broken off right above where the oil filter screws in. My question is if this is fixable? Able to be welded or repaired in any way? Want to know before I continue along with any further...
