MAC 4 to 1 exhaust (Canister Style) with stock airbox questions

I just changed my original 4 into 4 exhaust on my -80 750 custom with a Delkevic 4 into 1 exhaust with stock airbox. After the swap, I did a vacuum sync and there was minimal adjustment needed. The bike runs and sounds great.

    Carb help

Since the carbs are out, I would do a complete overhaul and separate them, clean them really well, and get new rubber boots, intake and exhaust. I tried to cut corners with mine, I ended up taking the carbs off twice before I took the time to do a proper job. It paid off, I haven’t had the need...

    Aftermarket Exhaust Input Welcomed

That looks bitchin’! Did you need to rejet the carbs? Although I like the look and sound of my original 4 into 4 exhaust on my custom, they are falling apart. Right now I’m leaning towards CycleX 4 into 1 or Delkevic 4into1. I wonder if rejetting is required.

    Engine oil

Thank you fellas for your replies. The first 500 miles after the rebuilt I used Valvoline max life but I wanted to try a motorcycle specific oil this time. The Lucas oil is definitely more expensive than generic oil and I’m planning on changing the oil every 1000 miles, it if it’s good for...

    Advice needed for 1980 CB750 C- Seat/exhaust

Sasquatch is definitely feeling the heat these days. Can't really complain, the winter sucked ballz and I'm sure the way coming is not going to be any better, so slap on some sun block and enjoy the sightseeing of tank tops and mini skirts. I'm sure Sasquatch doesn't mind that either.

    Advice needed for 1980 CB750 C- Seat/exhaust

I agree, when using the OEM seat pan, the edge lines up against the tank and the fender on the back seem to be cleaner most of the times. You have to be a pretty good seat maker to make it look good...and I'm not. By the way amc, this was the project you and many others helped me with, so...

    Advice needed for 1980 CB750 C- Seat/exhaust

If you decide to change seats, I would recommend eBay. I got my seat custom made by an ebay seller. He uses OEM seat pans, so no need for frame modifications. I know yours is a brat seat, but I'm sure the two of you can work something out since you have already made modifications to your frame...

Front brakes Don't receive pressure until 3rd PUMP!

I had that problem when I rebuilt my caliper. Take the caliper off the fork, still connected to the master cylinder and hang the caliper from the ceiling so it hangs higher than the master cylinder. Don't forget to put a piece of wood in between the pistons and pump the brakes. Bleed it like...

I hear ya, but since I'm already buying 3 for the Storm, I figured I could buy one more to the CB, if they work as good as they say.

    Speed bleeders

I'm thinking of installing speed brake bleeders on both bikes. First, has anyone installed speed bleeders on their bike? Do they work as advertised? On speedbleeder.com I could find the correct bleeder for the triumph but there is no guidance for a 1980 CB750C. Does anyone know the dimensions...

Madmtn, thanks for clarifying the process. I found the spray can on Amazon and I'll get going with the project once I'm back home this weekend. Thanks again for the info.

    Tank paint

Not at all. It took 2 weeks to get here once he was done with the seat, which it took him 2 days to make it. He responds to emails right away. I sent him an email with the seat I wanted plus my customization (red stitching, red stripe and 2inch shorter), he confirmed it and 2 days later I get an...

Madmtnmotors, thanks for the info and yes, I do have orange peel and I knew that eventually I had to sand it off and re-spray the tank. Now I know what to use. Thanks again.

I got the seat form eBay. This guy makes the seats with original seat pans. He's got all kinds of designs. I picked a design and then added my own touch to it, like red stitching and the red stripe.

    Tank paint

The bike is finally in one piece after a year's worth of work, bringing the bike back to life. Paint job was done (fenders, headlight bucket, side covers and tank) and as I'm vacuum syncing the carbs, the auxiliary gas container hanging over the bike decided to develop a leak and a few drops...

    Aftermarket signals for 78

Hi Curtis, I'm installing these signals on my -80 cb750. There are small but really bright. I have the battery off the bike right now, otherwise I would have turn them on. Try dimecitycycles.com, revzilla.com, or eBay. I think I bought them through revzilla for $20/pair. They also have them...
