I think I might just take it to someone
I couldn’t get it idling well enough to even try and test for vacuum leaks, I checked the boots, they all looked good, I even got the carbs onto the boots super snug
Feeling pretty defeated today haha
Okay
I went down the the bike shop to look for a part and had a chat with the mechanic, he said if the butterflies are closed and it’s reving up there’s a leak at the manifold boots
I cleaned the slides again, but it only cranked when the fuel ran out, could the floats be too high? I don’t think you can adjust these ones
Either that or it was less fuel
I’m an idiot and put bigger jets in but I’m gonna swap them back to the factory size
Vacuum petcock is plugged
I don’t have a tank on atm so I’ve got a fuel syringe feeding straight into the carbs, nothing stopping it flowing into the carbs except the floats

I’m gonna hit the slides again and make sure they’re not getting caught on anything
I’m back!

The airbox was a fucking punish to get in and connected, I had a to rearrange all my wiring to fit it in 🫠
The bike starts and runs, but...
If I was still taking shortcuts would I have spent 20hrs rebuilding the carbs?
The goal was to see if the bike would start, which it did.
The clamps and new throttle cables etc are on the list of things to get
Hey Brett, I did check and they don’t block the air circuit
However I got the bike running a few times but even with the throttle fully open and the choke closed it was completely bogged?
All the pipes were hot which is a good sign
Also there’s a decently loud knocking
Not sure if you can hear...
Alright I’m back!
Just so happened the 900s carbs had usable slow speed jet plugs, so that’s a bonus.
I got the 750s carbs fully assembled today, they’re looking damn good too if you ask me.
I stole the rail off the 900 set too and cleaned it up.
Now, I know everyone is going to have the...
