    I use a feller gauge to bench sync the carbs. Just used the vacuum gauges once. With the feeler gauge all was set greate. With the pilot screws. 1-1/2 and ride. Put the plugs and adjust. Walter

    One other. The cam chain which runs straight is the tight one. The cam chain which runs vertical is the one which is tight loose tight. I fell that is the one for the back bolts.

    Ok, So on the cam chain, there are two. The front one towards the front tire is tight. The back one towards the rear tire. loose the two bolts there. Rotated the 17mm bolt ten to twelve times. It get tight then loose then tight. Tighten the two back bolts while tight. Rotated the 17mm again...

    Ok, got a small hole on the side of a ‘79 750K, Took the Vance covers off and both cam chains are loose. Unscrews the bolts and rotated the engine until. Tight and then tighten the bolts. Question: how much play if any should there be on the cam chain? Walter/Houston

    I’m going to take some high temp gasket maker and bead around the area. If it does not stop it, it just might slow it down as a temporary fix.

    I have been using feeler gauge to synchronize my carbs. After the rebuild before you put them back on the bike. No need to do anything else.
