    Engine and frame numbers identification?

    Hi guys I purchased in 2015 cb750f2 year 1996 funny thing is the frame number starts rc42 and engine rc17e. Coincidence? Bike is registered 1996 but engine is from cbx750 1984-1988. I've been told it was imported from Germany.
