Crank and other rods looks good. Just have to undo the bottom main bolts holding the engine halves together and separate (no gasket sealant used) and lift crank out again to undo the one connecting rod and then reassemble…

Does this connecting rod look twisted?! This motor has been full of surprises what with an extra valve adjuster but and bolt just floating around inside causing a valve to bend and break and punching a large hole in the piston! Now we are putting it back together the notice the connecting rod...

bump I am curious also! I know the hinges are on the opposite side but perhaps they can be swapped? or can the cover and foam be pulled from an older pan and reinstalled easily over the 78 pan?
