What did you do to your cb750 today???

Replaced the front bearings. Took me a bit to get them both seated without being too tight on the sleeve between them. Glad I had a bearing extractor. Old bearings look like its been a while since they were replaced.

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Parts ordered, front and rear. So, while I wait, I've got a hankering to buy an older cb750. Probably a 76 and earlier. Something I can fully tear down.

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Cranked it to see if I needed to clean the carbs. It cranked like it had been waiting for me. When I rolled it back, I heard the worse sound, like the rear brakes were too tight on the rotor. Put the bike on the jack and its not the brakes. Might be bearings? Have not been changed since I've...

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Great looking bikes. Mine is an 81 XJ650. Great bike to ride and super easy to work on. I just need to change the seat. Puts me to far up on the tank, and less comfortable to ride.

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Picked up a new Corbin seat for the Super Sport. Love how it feels. Looks good too. Can't wait to ride it once the rain stops.

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Start clutch bearing fixed, now cranks and runs. Got a minor soft popping in the right side exhaust that I need to investigate. Going to drain the tank and put fresh gas in and see if that sorts it. The R6 gear upgrade on the starter definitely makes it sound like an adult motorcycle now when I...

'79 CB750 Super Sport front brakes

I've got a 1980 SS and it had all rubber lines. I replaced front and rear with Spiegler lines. They were perfect fit, and come in many colors. Brakes much better. https://spieglerusa.com/honda-cb-750-f2-front-brake-line-kit-cb-750-f2-s-hn0050.html...

    Mounting OEM CB750F fairing

Howdy. I've got a Hondaline fairing from a CBX I'd like to mount on my 1980 CB750F. I'm pretty sure the internal mounting brackets are different. Does anyone have any photos of the CB750 bracket and how it mounts to the bike and frame? Thanks.

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Upgraded my starter clutch with the R6 gear a while back. Started better and ran great, and then I noticed one of the bearings had fallen out on my work bench. So I popped off the side cover and messed with the gear and bearing and now it sounds like a power drill and doesn't seem to be turning...

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Picked up a CBX fairing in really good shape over the holidays. The plan is to put it on my Super Sport. Need to find the right bracket to mount it on my bike. Been a scavenger hunt online to find little things like OEM screws for the windscreen, and such. I'm learning more than I ever wanted to...

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Upgraded my starter clutch using a CB900 flange and Yamaha R6 bearing. Definitely sounds better when I hit the starter, and sounds more consistent.

What did you do to your cb750 today???

I tend to disassemble and reassemble parts three times (not on purpose) before I figure out what I missed.

What did you do to your cb750 today???

I rebuilt my first set of quad carbs for an old Yamaha with Youtube, the Haynes manual and a lots of previous forum posts. Cleaning is the hardest and most important part, then, there's the synching of the carbs which I haven't quite mastered. Good luck!

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Found a mostly complete mounting kit for a the Honda Sport Fairing for my CB750. Decided to try and put an OEM fairing on the bike instead of modifying an aftermarket version. Now I just need to find a fairing that isn't beat up and cracked, and start piecing everything together. Looks like the...

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Got into the low 60s earlier in the week, so I got in the last ride of the season. Beautiful day. Was able to try out the new shocks. Much better.

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Finished upgrading my brake lines to stainless. Also installed a set of Hagon rear shocks. When I removed the OEM shocks, they would compress but not expand, so it was time.

    Spiegler Brake Line Upgrade Questions

I did get the front lines installed a few weeks back, and had to spend some time getting that last little bubble of air out of them. Rebuilt the calipers as well. All pretty straight forward. Love the stainless steel lines. Ended up turning the handle bars so the MC was at its highest point and...

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Installed a Ram mount on the bike so I can actually see where I'm going before I get there. Pretty heavy duty.

What did you do to your cb750 today???

Saw this year old thread and thought I'd add my two cents after buying a set of NOS engine guards for my 1980 SS. The were listed on ebay as fitting a 1979 CB750K, so I rolled the dice that they would fit my bike, since the frames were (I thought) the same. They fit and look great. Picked them...

    Let's see your CB750

1980 Super Sport. Bought from the original owner in the Midwest. He babied it, and wanted it to go to a good home. I've slowly started upgrading specific items for safety, starting with the brake lines, and just making sure it doesn't leak oil, gas or exhaust. Runs like a top, and is a thrill to...

    Spiegler Brake Line Upgrade Questions

Closing the loop on this. I called Spiegler and after talking with one of their sales reps, I ordered part #s S-HN0050 and S-HN0049 for my bike. I'll update this when I install them.

    Steering lock

Just found this post and it answered both questions I had on how I reset the trip gauge and figure out the steering lock. I was also about to try and 'fix it' and some searching saved the day. Thanks!

    Spiegler Brake Line Upgrade Questions

Thanks Old Crow. I've been emailing with the company, but haven't gotten the info I wanted. I'll plan on giving them a call, after digging around in the forums some more and will post the correct part #s once I get that info.

    Spiegler Brake Line Upgrade Questions

I'm a new CB750 owner. I recently bought a 1980 CB750F Super Sport. It's in great shape, but I want to upgrade a few things on it, starting with the the brakes. It still has the rubber brake lines and which I will switch out to steel. I was looking at Spiegler, just because the were easy to...
