Cuts out when put into gear

Ohm-d out the clutch handlebar switch, and it is fine. When troubleshooting, i usually go back to "What was the last thing you did?" as a start, which was to change out the starter relay, which was bad. I bought the cheap one that everyone is selling now, it appears. The OEM relay was $129.00...

Cuts out when put into gear

The bike does not move forward when clutch lever is pulled but attempting to start with the key on and the clutch pulled the selenoid or starter will not engage. As stated I changed out the starter selenoid with a newer $15.00 one. The bike starts fine when in neutral with cheap selenoid just...

Cuts out when put into gear

Well, I got one for everyone. When pulling in the clutch lever the starter will not engage (starts fine in neutral). I replaced the starter solenoid recently because it was bad with a cheap $15 one since I could not find OEM anywhere. So anyone have advice before I tear into it seriously...

    High altitude jetting

Seems to be a old post, but is there a chart for jet size versus altitude? I have read that go down one jet size for every 2,000' of elevation. I foul plugs consistency after moving from 700' elevation to 6,800'. Any thoughts?

    Starter Clicking

Just a little easy and quick 101 troubleshooting to isolate the problems. If it does change the symptoms then you know, and time to change it or test further. Starter Clicking

Hear what your saying, but selenoids can also stick in the open position and not engage the starter. Just going from what I've seen. Time to bang the selenoid with a rubber mallet and see what happens. think he's proven the starter is ok and a new way to start a campfire.

    Green oil?

Obviously antifreeze from radiator. Just a little humor. I'll go play in the street now with heavy traffic. Honestly just sounds like oil, change it and see what happens, don't run synthetic if you would like your clutch to work properly, wet clutch.

    Starter Clicking

Starter Solenoids stick, I took mine off and banged it on the workbench. put it back on and works fine. Assume it's a temporary fix. before you take it off you can bang with a rubber mallet while on the bike and see if there is any difference. POA pulling the starter motor.

    Altitude changing bike performance

got the same problem, when moved from IN to CO from 700' to 6700' in elevation, and plugs running very rich and foul after only a few miles. Assume it's the jetting but what size do you need? Any insight is greatly appreciated.
