    New Wire Harness

I do. I'm a software designer and I actually made a somewhat interactive diagram for my K4 so it's easier to trace complete circuits. I no longer have it hosted but could send a multi page PDF if you wanna DM me your email address. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, there are some...

Is your engine # on your title where you live?

In Missouri it's a mixed bag for anything pre '81. My '51 Chevy 3100 is titled on the original block number even though that engine is long gone because there isn't a frame number, and my '74 CB uses the frame number with no mention of the engine number. With anything newer than '81 or so VINs...

    Let's see your CB750

Gotcha. Yeah, I can measure it at some point this week. My exhaust is the early no-no style from Yamiya and the center stand hits the rubber stopper in what I assume is the correct location, so while ground to stand wouldn't be stock, the chain to stand will be. My bike already had a Dynatek...

    Let's see your CB750

Thanks! The shifter and brake work really well. It's a complete Tarozzi setup. This post on the SOHC forum has a bunch of detail pics - http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php/topic,61168.msg2328820.html#msg2328820 No, I just didn't put the chain guard back on. I restored it and even had it powder...

    Yup. Doesn't matter.

    Let's see your CB750

I'm really starting to like this era of the CB. Almost picked up an abandoned early 900F a while back. Guy didn't follow thru on the title so I let it go.

    Pattern Exhaust Preservation

That sounds amazing. Out of three trucks (two antiques), two cars, and two bikes, there's only one vehicle I'll take out once they salt here. My lifted 2009 Volvo XC70 T6 that was made for the snow...and somehow after 17 years remains rust free.

    Pattern Exhaust Preservation

I've got the early style Yamiya no-nos on my K4. I didn't coat them w anything initially but as the season comes to an end I start adding Marvel Mystery Oil to the fuel. It's supposed to lubricate fuel system internals but what it does well is coat the exhaust interior w/a very fine oil mist. 2...

    Notchey shifting transmission

Higher ZDDP (zinc) while good for flat tappet engines can also mess w/a wet clutch setup. There are ways to modify your clutch hub for better oiling and better oils without additional ZDDP or Moly. I added the oil passages and use Valvoline 4-Stroke 4T 20-50 for wet clutches w/a CycleX 5...

    Perch too high, need help.

You realize you can undo all of that stuff before a sale. Used side and center stands are cheap. Buy others and set aside the best of what you have. My bike is lowered about 1/4" in the rear and 3/8" in front. I have a low profile Texavina seat, my side stand has been bent since before I...

    Perch too high, need help.

You're not wrong, but if the OP is worried about planting both feet flat at traffic lights, I seriously doubt they'll be carving corners so tight they'd notice a lesser lean angle. Lol.

    Perch too high, need help.

I've got a low profile seat from Texavina aka Motorcycle Seat Factory in Vietnam. It's great quality and about an inch lower but I'm 5'11" w/a 32" inseam and I still keep a foot on a peg at stop lights. I also have a set of lowering shocks brand new in the box from vintagecb750.com. I think...

    Primary drive damper rubbers

Relatively, 70A is pretty significantly softer than 85A. Can't answer on if it'll work. It might, but I'm not sure if I'd risk it to save a couple bucks given the effort to replace them if they wear quickly or come apart.

    Does anyone make these ?

I don't know that they're still available from Honda so much as NOS Honda ones are still available. Interesting. I didn't have any trouble drilling and tapping mine. I even used a relatively cheap bit and tap from amazon. Definitely wore the bit pretty good though even w/a bit of cutting oil...

    Does anyone make these ?

You can still get new ones but I don't think they're reproduced by anyone. I had the one from my K4 turned down a hair by HondaMan over on the SOHC4 forum when he machined my matched oilite bushings. Be aware that the ones for later bikes w the single grease zerk in the middle of the swing arm...

    Horn Expert Needed !

No clue how they're originally bonded...I woulda thought plastic pins passing thru and melted flat or some sort of rivet. JB Weld or a similar epoxy should hold forever and it'll dry pretty close to the same color...not that you'll see much of it, if any at all. Prob want to lightly sand and...

    Side Cover Identification

Post a pic. You can tell by looking at the backsides. New ones tend to be a black or really white material. Original are a yellowish material. Pics are the originals off my Freedom Green K4 vs the new Yamiya covers I have on now. If you zoom in on them you can see differences in the moulding...

Do I need a new clutch?

If it's a high molybdenum content causing the slipping, your friction plates would be toast anyway as they're absorbent. And on that note, be sure to soak the new plates for a day or so in whatever oil you decide to go with.
  27. P

Do I need a new clutch?

Agreed. I didn't even consider Liqui Moly as anything more than the brand name. The bottle pictured mentions wet clutches but I can see how actual moly additive could cause slipping. Fwiw, I use Valvoline 20-50 conventional motorcycle oil in my K4... 4T, wet clutches, JASO MA2, and all that...

Do I need a new clutch?

That oil is fine. Imo, it's time to disassemble the clutch pack and check the plates and springs.
