When this happened to my ‘93 CB 750, the issue was failed spacers between the carbs and the head. All were causing vacuum leaks. Happened on spring startup.
Sigh…first world challenges. 😀

I agree. 😟 Obviously we’re dealing, in many cases, with some bikes that are 30+ years old, and no doubt fewer still on the road, and some owners making them trailer queens.
Sigh… I’m 78 and haven’t ridden for over a year and may never ride again. 😰 Too scary at my age.
