I owned a bike franchise (Speed Bike Klerksdorp 1978 to 2015) with BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Triumph & Ducati agencies.
I participated in Drag Racing and finally had a Kawasaki Z1Turbo Funny bike and managed to become South African campion for 7-yrs. My 1989 Funny Bike 1/4 mile record still stands today at 7.9 secs @ 290 kph.
I had various race teams Enduro (Quads) and road racing (ZX6 / ZX9)
Later I organized motorcycle (road & off-road) and Quad tours in South Africa & Mozambique.
Today I run a motorcycle workshop (Pietspoed Workshop) servicing motorcycles and doing performance tuning & building high performance motorcycles (incl turbo bikes). My workshop uses a Dyno Jet dynamometer.
My latest project is a turbo CBX1000.
