    Popping 15amp fuses

Sounds like a short. When you say a loss of power do you mean shuts off or just lags? My nephew kept popping fuses and he put in a heavier fuse...burned the wire insulation from the tail lights to the headlight bucket. Had a short in the tail light wire . Fuses are cheap!

    Battery not charging

Here's something that just happened to me, One of the spade ends in the connector from the stator was pushed out slightly and not making contact in the plastic block. Separate the two halves of the block, clean every connection and be sure it stays in the block when put back together.

    Question on carbs

I am by no means an authority on carbs but the PD41B were on F model bikes. Jets were 105 mains and 35 slow. Round Tops used between 105 to 120 mains and 40 slow jets depending on carb model. They have five clip positions on the main jet . The PD carbs on my 77K have a bear trap spring on the...

New member saying hello with my new toy.

Hey Kmartcivic, That's a good lookin old girl! Glad she fired up easy for you. I bought a 77 that's a bit rougher that I'm anxious to get at. First is a 78 K that I might sell if it works out right.

    '78 CB 750 SOHC - Idle and Rev-down issue

Good catch on the leaky intakes. The 77s and 78s are notorious for stiff throttles. Mine had it. Turns out the cables were rusted. 4into1 has both throttle cables plus the clutch cable for around 30 bucks. Made a world of difference on mine.

    New project:/ 750 Honda trike

I have short crossover pipes that my brother-in-law had put on the chopper. When the chrome burned and rusted off I used heat resistant silver for a cheap fix. Short pipes don't help these motors, like dirtdigger said. Good pipes aren't cheap!

    77 cb750k front brake

So, learn from my mistake... The correct seal for my '77 front brake caliper is #45215-533-004. It's 49mm OD and 43mm ID. I ordered the wrong one that was 44mm OD and 39mm ID. From 4into1the cost is only like four bucks so I'll keep it for the parts bin. Luckily my original seal could be reused.

    77 cb750k front brake

I just remedied the same problem on my '77. I pulled the caliper apart and popped the piston with compressed air, then plucked the seal from the groove with a pick. Corrosion had formed under the seal. I ground a cheap allen wrench into a scraper and scraped the junk out. Cleaned the mess with...

    Gaiters on newer bike

Hi Ducklife, My 77 & 78 have dust caps on the forks not gaiters. I believe the gaiters have to have an attachment point on the upper part of the fork also. I just read a post where a guy used JB Weld to fill a gouge in a fork to prevent leaking. I would do that in a pinch, but I'd rather have my...

    Dad’s old <edit>71 750four

Hi Westfalia, I have a few 750's, the oldest is a 73. Being exposed to the elements can be real bad for a motorcycle. All rubber parts are probably shot. Rust is the culprit that freezes pistons, swingarms, cables, gauges, ruins wheels etc... Four into one is my go to for maintenance parts...
