No matter of adjustment cluth still drags, do I need a new one?

Are you aware that you can repair that basket by drilling the rivets out, separating the gear from the basket exposing the (likely failed) rubber dampers. You then replace the rubber dampers and reassemble the clutch basket using bolts instead of rivets. It's a common repair and makes a big...

Well, sometimes the angels of mercy look upon you! After way too much time working on the bike this weekend I took another look at the neutral switch and tried to get the neutral light working. Neutral switch not grounding to shift drum

I should also add that removing the brass washer helped a little in that the neutral light quickly flashes on when shifting into and out of neutral but does not stay on when left in neutral. It's as if the contract briefly connects when entering or leaving neutral but isn't closing when in neutral.

Hey folks, I've got a problem. After double checking all my wiring and being 110% it's all correctly connected, I think I have worked out why my neutral switch is not triggering the neutral light. As I understand it, when the end of the switch connects to the shift drum (when placed in the...

    Name those parts…

1st picture is the connection from your wiring loom to your neutral switch. It's a 4mm bullet connector from memory that sits just below and infront of your gear shift selector. If you need to replace it, it connects into the wire harness that runs from the ignition advancer to the red plug on...

Hi folks, I'm currently restoring a 1982 CB750F Supersport and having now rebuilt the engine I am test fitting a new set of Mikuni carbs and found and have run into an issue. From memory the carb spacing of the OEM KeiHin carbs (now sold) was 80-100-80 at the inlet of the rubber boots. As these...
