Purchased this bike from another guy on this forum nearly 5 years ago. Had planned on restoring it myself, and quickly found I was in way over my head. Been a while, but back from restoration and finally put some miles on it today.

Amazing, and nostalgic at the same time. My dad had the same model bike when I was a kid. My goal was to make this happen while he was still alive, and I was able to make it happen.
Did your Dad get to sit on the final build or take it for a quick spin as pilot or copilot?

Nice bike. Wish I could have saved the 4 into 4 pipes on mine, but the PO replaced them for a reason. The 4 into 2 doesn't sound too bad, but I always preferred the 4 into 4.

This one got to me with 4into2 as well. My restoration shop produced the pipes for me. It would take a real enthusiast to see that at first glance though. Super happy with how it turned out. Likely some better pictures soon.

Like I said, I've had 2 of them, and when I bought the current one, I went looking for specifically an Anniversary bike. I never understood why the DOHC bikes weren't as popular as the SOHC bikes. I had a '75 SOHC before I bought the first Anniversary bike and the difference in power between the two bikes is fairly awesome. My bike came with the original 4 into 4, but it was all rusted out on the bottom like they tend to get. It also came with a luggage rack that doesn't fit any Honda I've ever owned (8 bikes ranging from a CB160 to the CB750 DOHC).
