advice on buying high milage cb550

Hi Im considering buying a cb550 with 40,000 miles on it from a owner who has owned it for over 20years he has taken very good care of it both cosmetic wise and mechanically. Want some advice if 40,000 is it kind of risky Im looking to use as a daily driver and keep it in good condition.

The 500 class of cb had very few problems. I have a 30,000 mile cb500 that had the crap beat out of it before I got it and it still runs good for the age of the bike. Remember the 500 and 550 are not a big bike and dont have a lot of power by todays standard. They are a fun bike though...you just have to run them with some rpm's. They are a reliable motor though.
